This substack article... brings up a discussion i have with a friend, over and over... The question of whether small steps by new leaders are leading to larger ones.... little by little.... OR...it is defeating the issue entirely, by not addressing it fully to the public. I see both points of view. And since little steps seem to get larger now.... I'm putting some faith in this. Even though i see the argument to not.... I see some progress. You might call if fake progress, even such to deter things even moreseo. But... it feels like it might be.... progress, at least. My thoughts...
I don't think the relevant question is "reform ('small steps') versus egalitarian revolution ('addressing it fully'.). Do I interpret your quoted words here correctly?
I think the relevant question is "Making reform struggles maximally effective versus not making them maximally effective."
To make reform , right away, "maximally effective"... has definite consequences... that I am not sure would be the immediate right ones. It's kind of like introducing new food to your dog. It has to be done slowly, otherwise it will cause your dog to literally vomit it all out.
