Let's Talk about How to Remove the Rich from Power
Because We All Know that's the Key to Solving Our Big Problems
Click here to see all the egalitarian revolutionaries in my 02135 zip code who posed for a photo like the ones above. Do you think YOUR neighbors are different from mine? I doubt it unless you live in an uber-rich gated community like Beverly Hills.
I propose that for our talk about how to remove the rich from power we consider the following key facts:
Fact #1: We live in a dictatorship of the rich. This is the root cause of our BIG problems: extreme economic inequality, warmongering, shorter and sicker lives than we would otherwise have, etc. We cannot vote the rich out of power because they were never voted INTO power. So how can we remove the rich from power? Read on to see.
Fact #2: The rich need to treat the have-nots like dirt—openly and routinely so—in order to keep the have-nots “in their place” and maintain the class inequality that enables the rich to enjoy their great wealth and power and privilege. Read all about this here. This fact is why fact #3 is true.
Fact #3. The vast majority of the have-nots would LOVE to remove the rich from power to have real, not fake, democracy, with no rich and no poor, i.e., to make an egalitarian revolution. Read the proof of this here.
Fact #4.: Hardly any of the have-nots KNOW fact #3, because the mass media work very hard to prevent them from knowing it, by censoring any expression by ordinary people of their egalitarian revolutionary aspiration. Read about this here.
Indeed, almost all the have-nots believe—contrary to the actual truth!—that when they wage a struggle for a modest reform that they seek in order to make the world at least a little bit closer to the egalitarian one they would love, that they must HIDE their egalitarian revolutionary aspiration in order not to “scare away” the general public whose support they need; they don’t know that if they made their egalitarian revolutionary aspiration explicit that they would GAIN MORE support from the general public, not less. I prove this here in the second half of the video.
Fact #5. The result of fact #4 is that the have-nots, despite being the vast majority in wanting an egalitarian revolution, feel HOPELESS about the possibility of such a revolution because they think hardly anybody else would support it, and therefore they do not take concrete serious steps to build an explicitly egalitarian revolutionary movement. I discuss the importance of hopefulness and confidence, not despair over terrible conditions of life, in making past revolutions happen here.
Fact #6. Fact #4—NOT APATHY (which means not caring)!—is the obstacle to the growth of an egalitarian revolutionary movement.
Fact #7. Since apathy (for which there is no solution) is NOT the problem, but rather lack of confidence due to fact #4 (for which there IS a solution) is the problem, it follows that we CAN build a huge egalitarian revolutionary movement.
Fact #8. A large egalitarian revolutionary movement CAN remove the rich from power DESPITE THE PROVERBIAL 82nd Airborne Division. I discuss how here.
Fact #9. We CAN overcome the obstacle of fact #4. The main thing holding us back is that we haven’t yet decided to try! Read one way to start here.
