One character who surely would appreciate the information and philosophy of this manual is Old Man Potter of Bedford Falls, the arch villain in Frank Capra’s classic film It’s a Wonderful Life. Having watched it more times than I can count, I pretty much have the scene memorized when Potter rips into George Bailey, man of the people, for his support of “all those riff-raff simpletons” while he calls the authorities to apprehend him for the the mishap that he had himself created.
